Paper Policy

We guarantee that your shredded paper will be 100 percent recycled.

In keeping with our Green Philosophy, all paper documents will be recycled after destruction. Here’s the process: The documents are processed through the industrial shredder to an unreadable form, commingled with thousands of other shredded documents, and compressed into a bale weighing upwards of 1800 lbs. The bales are sent directly to the paper mill, where they are pulped and processed into fiber to create new paper products. These products will appear on store shelves in a variety of different forms (tissues, paper towels, copy paper, etc.) so that customers can ultimately reuse what they’ve destroyed.

According to The Daily Green website, “paper made with 100% recycled content uses 44% less energy, produces 38% less greenhouse gas emissions, 41% less particulate emissions, 50% less wastewater, and 49% less solid waste” when compared to paper made using virgin wood. When you buy paper products made from recycled fiber you help raise the demand for these goods, which ultimately supports forest conservation, one of our best defenses against global warming.
